In response to the challenges facing the unmanned technology industry, both institutions \u2013 by organizing online seminars, reports and a scientific and business conference \u2013 create a space for discussion and exchange of experiences in the use of drones in various sectors of the economy. The first event will take place on February 29, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is foresight? It is a forecast defining visions of the future. Foresight aims to identify future needs, opportunities and threats related to the development of the industry in the following aspects: technology, legal regulations, business and social acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foresights, organized by the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation together with the Mikromakro Institute Foundation, will allow us to determine what stage of development the Polish drone market is, including what challenges it faces. It is also an opportunity to learn about the needs of representatives of various industries in which the use of new technologies and drones is an impulse for further development of key sectors of the Polish and global economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Future scenarios are created for the following sectors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Logistics and transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring and inspection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Precision agriculture and environmental protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency and law enforcement services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/en\/online-seminars\/\">Open online seminars&nbsp;<\/a>organized by the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation will be used to develop foresights which will include discussions between experts and representatives of various industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 The unmanned aerial vehicle market is at a turning point. On the one hand, it is characterized by great potential, including the possibility of application in various sectors of the economy. On the other hand, from January 1, 2024, flights in a special category can only be carried out by a drone equipped with an active and current remote identification system, and it becomes possible to perform operations in accordance with standard STS scenarios. Moreover, there are certifying institutions in Poland that have passed audits but cannot receive notification \u2013 says Sylwester Wyka, deputy director for research at the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next online seminar organized on February 29, 2024, will be devoted to the use of drones in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/en\/online-seminars\/logistics\/\">logistics and transport<\/a>. Subsequent meetings are planned on March 12 (monitoring, inspection, protection), March 21 (ecology and precision agriculture) and April 12 (emergency and law enforcement services).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Droniada Future Forum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The culmination of the virtual meetings will be the conference \u201cDroniada Future Forum by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation\u201d organized on May 24, 2024. The scenarios will also become part of the debate on autonomous transport \u2013 robotic mobility, which is the motto of Droniada 2024, which will take place on June 4-9, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Our goal is to integrate the scientific, local government and business communities in order to develop scenarios for the development of the drone sector in Poland. This is the first attempt of this type to develop solutions involving stakeholders from various sectors who use drones in their activities. It is also a look at the topic from different perspectives \u2013 economic, social and technological. We are creating an UAV ecosystem with the participation of drone service providers and recipients of these services, including representatives of various business branches and city authorities \u2013 explains Sylwester Wyka, deputy director for research at the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Report on the drone industry<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the elements that allows to take a broader look at the entire drone market is the industry report \u201cThe Storm. Drone Market in Poland. Edition 2024\u201d of the Mikromakro Institute Foundation and the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation which is the titular partner of the publication and the study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report was created after the January debate in the European Parliament on the future of the UAV sector, in order to present the Polish market that has been operating for years to a wide international audience.
