It is possible thanks to the international cooperation conducted by \u0141ukasiewicz&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;Institute of Aviation together with the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;National Research Institute and the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GHOST (Grand cHallenge MesOsphere Student rockeT) is part of the international&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandchallenge.no\/\">Grand Challenge Initiative<\/a>&nbsp;which aims to study the atmosphere with sounding rockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from 9 countries (Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Great Britain, Canada, Japan and USA) are invited to participate in the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experiments submitted to the mission will be then integrated with the sounding rocket carried to the altitude of 150-170 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Polish institutions support GHOST<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was joined by Polish entities: \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation, Institute of Meteorology and Water Management \u2013 National Research Institute and Gda\u0144sk University of Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation uses in this project its experience in suborbital flights and international atmospheric research program. The Institute develops the ILR-33 AMBER rocket that has already passed three flight tests successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mission launch<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The integration of experiments with the rocket will take place in August 2024 at the Wallops Flight Facility (NASA).
