The Institute\u2019s number of members in the Committee are second best after the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following were elected to the Committee on behalf of the Institute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Eng. Leszek Loroch \u2013 elected a member of the Committee\u2019s Presidium,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Eng. Adam Okni\u0144ski \u2013 elected vice-chairman of the Committee,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Eng. Micha\u0142 Kawalec \u2013 member of the Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Piotr Wola\u0144ski \u2013 former chairman for 16 years and in the last term Honorary Chairman of the Committee, is also a member of the Committee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tasks of the Comittee include in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>issuing cyclical opinions on education and research in the field of space research in Poland;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participation in the work of the Polish Space Agency;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>disseminating space achievements, in particular domestic ones, by organizing open plenary meetings of the Committee and in the media (press, radio, television, scientific conferences, science picnics, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participation in the work of the Polish Space Law Center Manfred Lachs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>representation of Poland in international forums by members of the Committee (among others in the United Nations, in the world organization COSPAR, in the International Astronautical Federation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>_<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926.
