W dniach 3-4 pa\u017adziernika 2022 w Bernie odby\u0142o si\u0119 zainicjowane i zo<\/strong>The 2nd Economic and Technology Forum, initiated and organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, was held on October 3-4, 2022 in Bern, Switzerland. The event was attended by representatives of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation who took part in panel discussions of the Technology Forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the second promotional and networking event of this kind in the history of Polish diplomacy in Switzerland \u2013 after the 1st<\/sup> Polish Economic Forum in September 2021. The purpose of the 2nd<\/sup> Forum was to support Polish entrepreneurship, exports and investments and technological cooperation between entities from both countries, as well as between research and development units and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was attended by 200 representatives from 106 companies and institutions, including representatives of Polish and Swiss business, the world of science and technology, the Swiss federal administration (representatives of the ministries of economy, development and technology, foreign affairs) and the Polish government and central administration, as well as business-facilitating institutions from both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion during the Forum was conducted in seven thematic sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Chances and challenges for the future global socio-economic order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Vision and development for future development of Polish-Swiss economic cooperation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The communal dimension of Polish-Swiss economic cooperation. From assistance to partnership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Polish-Swiss cooperation models, challenges and possibilities in the new technology sector (with Sylwester Wyka, Deputy Director for Research at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. How technological innovation serves humankind (conducted by prof. Joanna Cygler, with the participation of Pawe\u0142 St\u0119\u017cycki, director of the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. From science to commercialization. Polish-Swiss insights (with Beata Lubos, director of International Cooperation Department at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Polish-Swiss partnership in blockchain and digitalization in the era of a global economy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Institute\u2019s representatives discussed directions of technological development in the coming years and experiences regarding cooperation between science and industry. The Forum was also a venue of dialogue with new partners regarding possible cooperation, including research, services and implementations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Institute presented also the Industry Contact Point \u201cSmart and Clean Mobility\u201d. The Forum participants were introduced to the new role of the Institute \u2013 the theme of the Horizon Europe program was presented and individual consultations were held for those more interested in the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong> is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926.
