This year, the host organization was the Czech VZLU institute and the meeting took place in Prague. Poland was represented by \u0141ukasiewicz&nbsp;<a>\u2013<\/a>&nbsp;Institute of Aviation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s summit was artificial intelligence and its application in aviation, with particular emphasis on unmanned systems. Jan Kleindienst, director of the international laboratory and R&amp;D company MAMA AI, delivered his keynote speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the workshops, the discussion was divided into four aspects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Artificial intelligence \u2013 opportunities and obstacles in aviation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unmanned flight in cities \u2013 opportunities and obstacles;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-role aircraft (drones, transport in cities) \u2013 missions and economic benefits;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Urban air mobility \u2013 social acceptance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion emphasized the important role of the society and building mutual trust in the proposed solutions on the basis of providing reliable and factual information, earlier introduction of the solution (on the basis of demonstration) and cooperation with the media and conducting information campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, the activities undertaken by IFAR were summarized, including cooperation with ICAO under the partnership agreement, cooperation with ICAS, reports from working groups, including the Electric Hybrid Propulsion Group led by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation. Directors of the IFAR member institutes also presented the achievements of their organizations for this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of the summit was a visit to the laboratories of GE Aviation, Aero Vodochody and the presentation of the project of the Czech VZLU institute (full-scale eVTOL UAS platform in virtual reality).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926. The Institute closely cooperates with global tycoons of the aviation industry, such as: GE, Airbus, Pratt &amp; Whitney, and institutions from the space industry, including the European Space Agency. Strategic research areas of the Institute are aviation, space and unmanned technologies. It also provides research and services for domestic and foreign industries in the field of materials, composite, additive, remote sensing, energy and oil&amp;gas technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network<\/strong>&nbsp;provides attractive, complete and competitive technological solutions.
