Both products were awarded by the jury of the BUDMA International Construction and Architecture Fair, receiving gold medals.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Client:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>TOOLCO is a manufacturer of high-quality packaging and roof accessories, as well as custom-made wire and sheet metal elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Client expectations:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Maximizing the key performance parameters of AIR JET 125 and 160 gravity ventilation chimneys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scope and effect of works:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0141ukasiewicz-Institute of Aviation experts conducted research and development works in the area of \u200b\u200bcomputational aerodynamics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the results of these works, the designers from TOOLCO, in close cooperation with the Institute\u2019s team, introduced changes to the design to improve the shape of the objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experimental tests carried out in the next stage in the wind tunnel confirmed a significant increase in the operational parameters of chimneys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Advantage for the customer:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The performance of chimneys is perfected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Gold Medal of the BUDMA 2022 fair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Team of experts from \u0141ukasiewicz-Institute of Aviation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The research and development works for TOOLCO was carried out by the team of the Aerodynamics Department, which specializes in research for various sectors of Polish and global industry, such as: aviation, automotive, construction, energy, space technologies, shipbuilding, defense industry, railway industry and sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Infrastructure used for research:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The tests were carried out in a low-turbulence TMT wind tunnel, which is characterized by a low stream turbulence coefficient, which results in a very high-quality flow field. The TMT tunnel is equipped with two research chambers of various dimensions \u2013 the larger of them (2.28 m x 1.75 m) has an assembly interface that allows testing of chimneys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926.
