EREA Annual Event is organised to summarise the annual activity of the Association, which gathers European Research Institutes working in the field of aeronautics. This year the event brought together many distinguished gests, including Commissioner Rosalinde van der Vlies \u2013 Director of Clean Planet in the Directorate General: Research and Innovation at European Commission or Axel Krein \u2013 Director of Clean Aviation Partnership.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main part of the event was the debate on the European Partnerships \u2013 Clean Aviation and SESAR and the influence of the partnerships on the aviation sector development together with achieving the aims set up for the aviation for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The debate was moderated by Director of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation, Pawe\u0142 St\u0119\u017cycki. Among invited guests were Michel Peters \u2013 current Chairman of EREA, Axel Krein \u2013 Director of Clean Aviation Partnership and Richard Frizon \u2013 Director of SESAR Partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conclusion of the debate was to increase the support towards the activity of research institutions, which role in developing new technologies is significant for each member state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, a plaque in recognition and appreciation of outstanding services to EREA was handed to Professor Grzegorz Socha, employee of the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation, for his work and engagement in the activity of EREA Aviation Research Group. It consists of 15 of the most important research institutes from Europe. EREA brings together groups of experts in the fields of aerodynamics, materials and structures, flight mechanics, propulsion, acoustics, avionics, flight testing, modeling and simulation, environmental protection, security, airports and many others. The Institute closely cooperates with global tycoons of the aviation industry, such as: GE, Airbus, Pratt &amp; Whitney, and institutions from the space industry, including the European Space Agency. Strategic research areas of the Institute are aviation, space and unmanned technologies. It also provides research and services for domestic and foreign industries in the field of materials, composite, additive, remote sensing, energy and oil&amp;gas technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network<\/strong>&nbsp;provides attractive, complete and competitive technological solutions.
