Each year, this event brings together thousands of engineers and scientists from around the world. It is also a great opportunity to establish contacts with representatives from different countries and cultures working in the space sector.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s edition was attended by representatives of the Space Technologies Department and the Environmental Research Laboratory from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation: Dr. Dominik Kublik, Ewa Majewska, Pawe\u0142 Nowakowski, Micha\u0142 Ranachowski and Przemys\u0142aw Rokosz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During direct meetings, representatives of the Institute presented the research activities and looked for cooperation opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the technical session entitled \u201cPost Mission Disposal and Space Debris Removal\u201d, Pawe\u0142 Nowakowski presented the Institute\u2019s work on the development of a solid propellant engine with a dedicated thrust vectoring system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another Institute\u2019s presentation entitled \u201cPropulsion for Direct Deorbitation \u2013 Solid Rocket Motor with Thrust Vector Control Development\u201d by Ewa Majewska, Hanna Tuchowska, Micha\u0142 Ranachowski, Anna Kasztankiewicz, B\u0142a\u017cej Marciniak, Damian Kaniewski, \u0141ukasz Radzikowski, Adam Okni\u0144ski and professor Piotr Wola\u0144ski was related to the system for deorbiting satellites, developed under several projects for the European Space Agency, which is a response to the growing problem of space debris. This type of propulsion could find an application in future satellites and rocket upper stages, allowing them to be removed from orbit after completing the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-effect=\"slide\"><div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_container swiper-container\"><ul class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_swiper-wrapper swiper-wrapper\"><li class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_slide swiper-slide\"><figure><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_image wp-image-75109\" data-id=\"75109\" src=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Dubaj_2021-1-scaled.jpg\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_slide swiper-slide\"><figure><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_image wp-image-75110\" data-id=\"75110\" src=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Dubaj_2021-2-scaled.jpg\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_slide swiper-slide\"><figure><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_image wp-image-75112\" data-id=\"75112\" src=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Dubaj_2021-3-scaled.jpg\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_slide swiper-slide\"><figure><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_image wp-image-75113\" data-id=\"75113\" src=\"https:\/\/ilot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Dubaj_2021-4-scaled.jpg\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><a class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_button-prev swiper-button-prev swiper-button-white\" role=\"button\"><\/a><a class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_button-next swiper-button-next swiper-button-white\" role=\"button\"><\/a><a aria-label=\"Pause Slideshow\" class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_button-pause\" role=\"button\"><\/a><div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_pagination swiper-pagination swiper-pagination-white\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EXPO 2020: Polish Space Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the presence at the International Astronaut Congress, the Institute\u2019s delegation &nbsp;participated in the Polish-Arab business seminar \u201cInnovations and Trends in the Space Sector\u201d organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency together with the Polish Space Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event took place on October 27 in the Polish pavilion at EXPO 2020, during the Polish Space Week that was ongoing at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the discussion panel led by the director of the Department of Strategy and International Cooperation of the Polish Space Agency, Dr. Aleksandra Buka\u0142a, the representative of the Institute, Dr. Dominik Kublik, together with Hamda Faisal Al Shehhi from the United Arab Emirates Space Agency, \u0141ukasz Wilczy\u0144ski from the European Space Foundation and Leszek Orzechowski from Space is More, emphasized the importance of international partnership and analyzed the possibilities of Polish-Arab cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel was an introduction to the pitching session during which the activities of the Institute were presented by Ewa Majewska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delegates took part also in individual talks with representatives of companies from the space sector, discussing the possibilities of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit to the Congress of the Institute\u2019s representatives was co-financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the Academic International Partnerships Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926.
