The new president of the association become the director of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation, Pawe\u0142 St\u0119\u017cycki.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Director St\u0119\u017cycki replaced the outgoing president of the association, Mr. Marek Darecki, the president of the management board and general director of WSK \u201cPZL-Rzesz\u00f3w\u201d S.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following members were also elected to the APAI management board:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Janusz Zakr\u0119cki \u2013 president and director general of PZL Mielec (vice president of APAI),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jacek Libucha \u2013 president of PZL \u015awidnik (vice president of APAI),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marian Lubieniecki \u2013 president of General Electric Company Polska (member of the APAI management board),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wojciech Wasik \u2013 president of Pratt &amp; Whitney Rzesz\u00f3w and Pratt &amp; Whitney Kalisz (member of the APAI management board),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miros\u0142aw Kowalski \u2013 director of the Air Force Institute of Technology (member of the APAI management board).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The term of office of the APAI management board is scheduled for 3 years until 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the association<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association of Polish Aviation Industry was founded in 2000 to support the dynamic development of the aviation industry in Poland. PAIA is a non-profit organization representing companies and institutions from the aviation, space and defense industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its goals include: creating favorable conditions for the development of aviation industry enterprises in Poland; development of research, skills and qualifications in the field of aviation; cooperation and development of the aviation industry and universities; promotion of the Polish aviation industry; influencing the economic policy of the Polish government in matters related to the aviation industry; representing the Polish aviation, space and defense industry in Europe and around the world; and the organization and development of a cost-effective supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association of Polish Aviation Industry currently brings together 33 companies and institutions from the aviation sector (5 R&amp;D institutions, 15 large enterprises and 13 small and medium-sized enterprises). Together they employ around 14,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APAI is a member of the AeroSpace and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926. The Institute closely cooperates with global tycoons of the aviation industry, such as: GE, Airbus, Pratt &amp; Whitney, and institutions from the space industry, including the European Space Agency. Strategic research areas of the Institute are aviation, space and unmanned technologies. It also provides research and services for domestic and foreign industries in the field of materials, composite, additive, remote sensing, energy mining technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network<\/strong>&nbsp;provides attractive, complete and competitive technological solutions. It offers a unique system of \u201cchallenging\u201d to business, thanks to which a group of 4,500 scientists in no more than 15 working days accepts the business challenge and proposes the entrepreneur to develop an effective implementation solution. At the same time, it involves the highest competences of scientists in Poland and a scientific apparatus unique in Poland.
