The online event gathered over 100 participants \u2013 high-level representatives of the European aviation community, including representatives from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, EREA has developed its own vision of the future of civil aviation. The result, published in spring 2021, is a study detailing four scenarios of what the future might look like and what related R&amp;D themes in civil aviation might be:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.erea.org\/erea-vision-study-future-aviation-2050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/www.erea.org\/erea-vision-study-future-aviation-2050<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document presented to the participants of the meeting was a contribution to a broader discussion on the future of aviation. The event also included a moderated discussion to which the following were invited:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education of Portugal,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marian-Jean Marinescu, Member of the European Parliament, Chairman of the Air and Space Intergroup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and Michel Peters, President of EREA, Director General of NLR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of the most modern research facilities in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926. The Institute closely cooperates with global tycoons of the aviation industry, such as: GE, Airbus, Pratt &amp; Whitney, and institutions from the space industry, including the European Space Agency. Strategic research areas of the Institute are aviation, space and unmanned technologies. It also provides research and services for domestic and foreign industries in the field of materials, composite, additive, remote sensing, energy mining technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network<\/strong>&nbsp;provides attractive, complete and competitive technological solutions. It offers a unique system of \u201cchallenging\u201d to business, thanks to which a group of 4,500 scientists in no more than 15 working days accepts the business challenge and proposes the entrepreneur to develop an effective implementation solution. At the same time, it involves the highest competences of scientists in Poland and a scientific apparatus unique in Poland.
