On 14-15 November 2019 in \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation, took place 11th edition of a scientific conference \u201cDevelopment Trends in Space Propulsion Systems\u201d. The conference was organized by the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation and the Warsaw University of Technology.<\/h2>\n

The conference was opened by Pawe\u0142 St\u0119\u017cycki PhD Eng., Director of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation, and Colonel Marcin G\u00f3rka, Vice-President of the Polish Space Agency.<\/p>\n

In recognition of his contribution to the organization of the conference and the development of the Polish rocket technology sector, Professor Piotr Wola\u0144ski was honoured.<\/p>\n

The conference brought together many experts and scientists from Poland, the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovakia and Ukraine. During the two-day session, the latest achievements in the fields of suborbital rockets, liquid fuel rocket engines, solid fuel hybrid engines and electric drives were presented.<\/p>\n

An important part of the conference was a debate on the development of green propellants, attended by representatives of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation, DLR and FOTEC company.<\/p>\n

11th Development Trends in Space Propulsion Systems\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 During the conference a competition was held for the best student work. The main prize, worth 1,000 PLN, funded by the Warsaw University of Technology was handed in by the Deputy Dean, prof. Artur Rusowicz, PW.
The winner of the competition was Sousains Alexandros from the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Naustadt for his presentation titled: \u201cApplication of field Emission Electric Propulsion for the CubeSat Mission CLIMB\u201d.
Dominik Zdyba\u0142 and Wojciech K\u0142os from the AGH University of Science and Technology were also honoured (a presentation titled: \u201cApplication of field Emission Electric Propulsion for the CubeSat Mission CLIMB\u201d).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
