The visit to the headquarters of KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A. in Lower Silesia is the result of a cooperation between the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation and KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A., which was officially sealed in mid-June with the signing of a letter of intent in the field of research and development. The event took place in Reno, Nevada, USA, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda.<\/p>\n
The current talks between the representatives of both institutions focused on specific issues and solutions that the Institute can propose in these areas.<\/p>\n
Representatives of KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A. expressed interest in the remote-sensing and UAS technologies, as well as in research cooperation. The members of both teams also agreed on the preliminary possibilities of their application and implementation. As the first step in further cooperation, the design team of the Remote Sensing Department from the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Institute of Aviation will acquire, process and present visualizations of data obtained during photogrammetric flights over selected areas of KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A.<\/p>\n
In addition to practical activities on the premises, a number of talks with members of the management of KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A. were also conducted: Professor Katarzyna Kreczma\u0144ska-Gigol \u2013 Vice-President of the Management Board responsible for finance, Rados\u0142aw Stach \u2013 Vice-President of the Management Board responsible for production, Ireneusz Jazownik \u2013 Director of the Information Processing Centre and Grzegorz K\u0119dzia \u2013 Chief Analytical Project Officer.<\/p>\n
